style=\"overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-bottom: 10px; font-size: 18px; color: #333333; font-family: 'PT Sans';\">The new Terminal 3 cargo building adds a further 3,700 sq m of warehouse space to WFS\u2019 handling infrastructure in Copenhagen, where it handles over 100,000 tonnes of cargo a year, carried onboard passenger and freight facility services.<\/p><div class=\"ai-viewport-1\" Terminal 2 facility in 2010.<\/p><p style=\"overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-bottom: 10px; font-size: 18px; color: #333333; font-family: 'PT Sans';\">In 2019, WFS also invested in a new GDP-certified pharma facility, increasing its footprint by a further 1,500 sq m, to support the cluster of life science companies in the Greater Copenhagen area.<\/p><p style=\"overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-bottom: 10px; font-size: 18px; color: #333333; font-family: 'PT Sans';\">Since opening its first Scandinavian handling operation in Copenhagen in 2008, WFS,<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a style=\"color: #337ab7;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aircargonews.net\/services\/sats-to-buy-worldwide-flight-services-in-e2-25bn-deal\/\">\u00a0currently in talks to be taken over by SATS,<\/a><\/span>\u00a0has become the largest cargo handler at the airport,<\/p><p style=\"overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-bottom: 10px; font-size: 18px; color: #333333; font-family: 'PT Sans';\">It serves over 30 airline clients with flights to the Danish capital.<\/p><p style=\"overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-bottom: 10px; font-size: 18px; color: #333333; font-family: 'PT Sans';\">It also provides cargo handling services for more than 125 offline carriers.<\/p><p style=\"overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-bottom: 10px; font-size: 18px; color: #333333; font-family: 'PT Sans';\">\u201cCopenhagen is a very progressive airport with a strong commitment to supporting its cargo customers,\u201d said WFS\u2019 managing director Scandinavia, Thomas Egeland.<\/p><p style=\"overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-bottom: 10px; font-size: 18px; color: #333333; font-family: 'PT Sans';\">\u201cSince 2008, WFS has also demonstrated its confidence in the Danish and regional air cargo market through our continued investment and expansion, and we will continue to play a lead role in the growth of the airport and the airlines who fly here. We see a great future.\u201d<\/p><p style=\"overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-bottom: 10px; font-size: 18px; color: #333333; font-family: 'PT Sans';\">Earlier this year, WFS also entered a renewable <a href=\"https:\/\/qfalliance.com\/index.php\/2022\/11\/14\/news-11\/\">Energy Partnership<\/a> with NRGreen in Denmark to generate 100% of its power requirements by positioning 3,500 high efficiency solar panels across the roof area of WFS\u2019 cargo facilities at Copenhagen Airport.<\/p><p style=\"overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-bottom: 10px; font-size: 18px; color: #333333; font-family: 'PT Sans';\">The establishment of the 1.4 MW solar power system \u2013 the largest in the Greater Copenhagen area \u2013 will provide an annual CO2 saving of up to 240 tons, the equivalent of a passenger car driving 57 times around the world.<\/p><p style=\"overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-bottom: 10px; font-size: 18px; color: #333333; font-family: 'PT Sans';\">This is sufficient to power WFS\u2019 all-electric forklift and vehicle fleets and the LED lighting systems in its warehouse operations, and return surplus energy to the national grid.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WFS inaugurates a third freight facility at Copenhagen Airport.
